So you’re in the supermarket, holding two seemingly “identical” products, but one is organic and the other one isn’t. Yet, the product which is organic may be a few cents or even a few dollars more expensive, is it worth it?
In short, yes, absolutely.
You’re not paying just for the certification or the green sticker that says “USDA Organic”, you are paying for a higher quality product. Check out the facts about organic products here and here. Organic products are made more efficiently and environmentally friendly. They disallow GMOs, antibiotics, and other harmful additives. The farmers and food companies have to work harder to keep the product as pure as possible. Hence, why it’s more expensive to us as well.
Think of your body as a Ferrari. That’s right. Our bodies are incredible machines capable of almost anything; but if you keep feeding it 87 octane gas (regular), over time, the car will shut down or at the very least it won’t function as it’s supposed to. Our bodies are exactly the same. You need the nutrients, vitamins and the purest food. Food is your medicine. Saving a couple of bucks here and there, will only end up costing you the same or more in medical bills.
If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. Work for it, don’t cut corners and cherish it!
